Nancy Newton

Nancy died after a courageous fight with Leukemia before the age of 30.  Always fun, always loving, always a good friend.  - Mary Vallier-Kaplan

I remember Nancy from Mrs. Jenkin's fifth grade class at Bird Elementary.  This was my first year at the school and we continued through school together until Graduation.  Nancy was also in my American History class  taught by Mr. Plakas our Junior year.  Her final project for the class was a replica of the Whitehouse made from sugar cubes.  It was evident when Nancy was in deep thought over a classroom assignment because she had the habit of twirling her hair around her finger.  Nancy has a very special place in my memories.

Love your reference Jean to Nancy twirling her hair!  I too remember the sugar cube White House!  Thanks for sharing.
