Chris died Oct 14, 2016, her illness spanned 6 years.  She was one of my best friends in high school.  She was a very successful business woman, an animal lover and a vibrant, outgoing, fun person.  I have cherished memories of all the times we got into trouble together! devil Miss you 'Tina'.heart

Chris was another person I was hoping to connect with.  She and I were in the 1966 play together ("You Can't Take It With You").  I didn't know her before that, but she was such a spark plug!  And we ended up running around doing pranks after dark...We drive by where her house was on N. Territorial all the time, and I always think of her.

I fondly remember Chris.  She seemed to always be in my homeroom class; she always had a great smile and a light within her that shined brightly.  I remember her from middle school.  She had moved to this area about that same time. She and I were in sewing class together and I remember she taught me that you could make walking shorts out of wool (she had reused the fabric from a wool skirt she owned! Something I had never thought to do before.)  As a quilter today, I often reuse beautiful "used" fabric from outdated skirts and dresses...the little squares find their way into beautiful comfort quilts for our wounded soldiers at the Walter Reed Hospital.  Its so interesting how a person can remain in your thoughts and memories throughout life...even when we are years away from seeing them.  I too was hoping to reconnect with her at the reunion.  RIP Chris.
