Joel was [one of] my first boyfriends, and then a good friend for many years after. He was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew and had such a cute freckled face :). I knew him all through school since grade school. We both went to Bird Elementary and we got in trouble constantly which usually ended up in a visit to Mrs. Tangers (Principle) office - but we had so much fun. I remember Joel lived with his mother and sister Jill out in the country and I liked to visit there but I don't remember his dad or if his dad was with the family.
Ditto for me to everything you said about Joel! Everyone wanted to just pinch his cute little cheeks! I remember his whole family had freckles, red hair and were lots of fun!
Both Jean O'Donnell and I have been remembering about you and so glad you are coming to the reunion. We were part of the Penniman Avenue gang of girls when we were young. Any news of Diane Lacey who also lived on our street? I remember loving to play upstairs in your renovated attic bedroom!

Joel (and his sister Jill) used to take piano lessons from my grandmother back in the day. Joel and I ended up playing a lot of duets at recitals.
